Inclement Weather Policy

• When WS/FC school districts close/delay due to weather, the Clemmons Food Pantry policy is to delay operational shifts by 1 hour. (This means that a 9 am start becomes 10 am… take your time).

• An assessment of local road conditions will be made by the Executive Director, Board President, and Operations Committee chair during the morning and make a determination about closing before noon.

•  If the weather gets worse during the course of the day, we may close Client Services shifts early.  All scheduled volunteers will receive email notification of such changes.  Similarly, determinations about Saturday morning service will be made as soon as possible and sent to all scheduled volunteers via Volgistics.

• When Client Services shifts are affected, a notice will be on our Voicemail message, Website and sent to local TV (most post nonprofit closures on their website, not on the broadcast scroll).

In every situation, please determine whether your neighborhood and path to the pantry is safe for travel; your safety and comfort is most important.  If you choose not to come in for any reason when the pantry is open, including weather, please remove yourself from Volgistics and connect with the lead appointed for that day.
