Be A Volunteer

We need you.

How Can You Help?

The Clemmons Food Pantry is staffed entirely by volunteers, and it takes a staff of more than 125 volunteers each week to keep the Pantry running smoothly. Opportunities to help include supporting fund raisers, shelving food, shopping, picking up food from local stores, working at the Pantry during store hours and administration.

Whether you choose to work directly with clients or in one of the many behind the scenes jobs, you can be sure that the work you do will make a difference in the lives of those served.

How to Apply:

Step 1: Attend an orientation session

All volunteers are required to attend an orientation session before volunteering. Sessions are held the third Monday of every month at 6:30 PM at the Pantry**. You will learn about the variety of volunteer opportunities that are available; how the Pantry works; and the federal regulations which are required around documentation, food distribution and storage. You will also be trained on our Volunteer Scheduling system.

** There will be no volunteer orientation in December **

To register or get more information, please email us. You must register to attend.

Step 2: Schedule yourself to serve when it is convenient for you

Volunteers can schedule themselves for the opportunities that match their preferences and their schedule. Opportunities exist during the mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends so it will be easy for you to find the right job at the right time!
